The Model of the Center of Infancy and Families (CIF) intends to respond to the need of building an Educational Community of the social territory. Without Educational Community there is no society, only people who live in the same place without common values. This is especially true in the contemporary global society of the 21st century.
CIF is a meeting venue for the foundation of the educational project of the Educational Community in order to improve the quality of the educational services and children’s life and families in the context in which it operates.
Professional training of CIF is particularly effective, because it allows the creation of a Quality Pact of the Educational Community for developing general welfare of the citizens, bringing together in a synergistic action between municipal managers, the management of services for infancy and families to achieve the following outcomes:
The Model respects and builds on the Childcare Models of the Past, which although still widely used, were developed for children 100 years ago
Adaptation of children’s educational services, to the European standards of “Quality of services”, offering criteria, standards and ways for achieving them.
Actual increase of “quality of the services for children” through the interaction of all the components that make up the Educational Community: children, operators, families, social and political forces.
Promoting innovative changes in the service’s management, based on the results of previous experiments, in order to improve the quality of the provided services.
The Model CIF is built on the best strengths of four fundamental European Cultures:
- the Mediterranean culture of creativity and social culture planning;
- the Celtic and Scandinavian culture, which sees the child as an individual, a bearer of skills and potential;
- the German and Central European culture with operability and productivity;
- the Russian and Slavic culture with intense social life.
The Model is a concrete and effective response to the demands of today’s children. The Model respects and builds on the Childcare Models of the Past, which although still widely used, were developed for children 100 years ago.
